Malibu Matimco Village Housing Association Inc. (MMVHAI) is located in Barangay Subangdaku, Mandaue City, Cebu; 5 kilometers away from Mactan International Airport with a land area of 1544 sq.m. designated by Mandaue City local government unit for the on-site housing development of 262 housing units for the same number of homeless families. The community initiated a self-demolition of the existing structures on the property to begin the development and construction of the housing units. This project is specifically for socialized housing in the Philippines in collaboration with the community, the government, private sectors, institutions, and more. They has been engaged in the entire process, promoting social change in the area for more than 20 years. With Base Bahay Foundation, Inc., their hard work will soon bear fruit, having all their patience and sacrifices rewarded.
All partners involved so far have become catalysts of social and systemic change that sustains the cycle of charity in action to society. Create a Vincentian Giving Circle (VGC) with your family and friends or become our fellow (VFF) for this project!
Through pabuhay or livelihood projects, the community savings in the Savings Mobilization Program (SMP) regenerate the fund for housing supported by the donations of various corporations and donors; doing away with dole out housing and giving value to perseverance and hard work.
Inspired by St. Vincent de Paul's mission to serve the poor, we follow his charity in action through housing projects and the Savings Mobilization Program (SMP), a Cooperative system encouraging a group of homeless & vulnerable people to unite and save for a common goal: housing.
The ultimate goal of pamayanan or community in our framework is to share the blessings we receive to another regardless of religion, gender, status, etc. As we practice a circular economy within our network, we are always open for partnerships to achieve our mission for the homeless and the vulnerable.
The Vincentian Foundation Development Framework is a continuous cycle where we encourage receivers from all walks to life to be givers to homeless and vulnerable families in the Philippines, and for donors' contributions to ripple across our activities for our mission's sustainability.
