The Elderly Care program of the VMSDFI focused in developing a People’s Organization (PO) that responds to the identified needs and concerns of the sector. Originally, it started with a health intervention of a group of paramedics and community gerontologists also organized by VMSDFI.
As POs were organized, leaders and volunteers were given the necessary training for the eventual management of their groups. Just like any other elderly groups, members have multiple memberships with the other organized groups existing in the community. POs comply with their registration and gained access to resources from the government and other organizations.
Currently, there are 457 active elderly that the Elderly Care Association of Payatas Inc. , one of our PO’s, is catering. The most common concern of the PO is Health, Livelihood and Social activities. The PO is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and are recognized by the barangay or City government within their locality.
Support the elderly's mission to stay active and take part in the community! Their health and wellness activities continue together with their gerontology training.
We hold Medical-Dental Missions for the elderly and children with and without special needs yearly. We would be honored to collaborate with you!
